It’s Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day. Lucky for you I’ve been cleaning out my studio and I’m giving away 4 sets of goodies. I’ll tell you a little about myself as I detail the giveaway options.

I designed the cover art for Quilts, Tacos & Tattoos, a novel by Alicia Diane Durand. I also created an art quilt pattern based on the cover art with instructions for piecing the quilt shop background and constructing the fused appliqué girl in a dimensional dress. Giveaway A includes a copy of the novel, the quilt pattern and spool photo holder.

My passion is making art quilts in all sizes with girls in fun dresses – especially ruffled dresses. Since I was having such fun making the art quilts that I created kits and patterns for others to enjoy the process too. I’ve presented the creative girl art quilts to my guild a few times; it’s always a fun class. Giveaway B has a spool photo holder and a creative girl art quilt kit with 8 small and 4 large faces printed on fabric and pre-fused to fusible webbing, dress pattern in 2 sizes, basic creative girl art quilt instructions, batting for 2 art quilt (1 small 5”x8” and 1 large 8”x12”), fusible webbing, fabric in a variety of patterns/colors for dress making and backgrounds, fabric to match the faces for creating arms or legs, bag of fabric scraps, embellishments (buttons, ribbon, lace, vintage trim), and a strip of ruffled fabric.

I don’t just love fabric, I love pretty paper. When I need a break from quilting, I usually make paper collage or journals. Giveaway C includes a handcrafted journal and spool photo holder. The journal cover features machine-stitched scraps with a generous ties to keep your daily snippets and thoughts securely inside. Inside is an assortment of drawing, scrapbook, vintage, recycled and other type of paper in a variety of sizes with pockets and ephemera. Finished size (closed): approximately 6” x 9” with over 40 pages.

This summer I created 12 canvas backgrounds and told myself to play with what I had on hand. It was a fun way to spark my creativity and try a few new techniques. Once done, I gave away most of them. Giveaway D features an unclaimed canvas collage entitled Girl measuring 8” x 9.5” and a creative girl art quilt pattern. The canvas collage has a fabric sticker, doodle stitched and painted girl. The Creative Girl Art Quilt Pattern includes 8 small and 4 large faces printed on white fabric, fabric to match the faces for creating arms or legs, 4 different dress pattern in 2 sizes, pattern for legs, arms and shoes in small and large sizes, instructions for assembling art quilt, and a strip of ruffled fabric.

I do usually respond to comments, but with the volume received for giveaway day, I apologize in advance that I am not superwoman enough to do so.

Thank you for stopping by; hope to see you here again. Now go find other giveaways to win!
